We were learning all about the Vikings and decided we’d like to do some research on Denmark, one of the countries where the Vikings originated from. We worked in groups and individually to find out as much information about the geography of the country, the food they eat and the most popular tourist attractions. We presented our projects to the class.
On the Banks of the Royal Canal
3rd and 4th classes had a fantastic day exploring the Royal Canal. We ventured across the footbridge, which was originally built to allow people to cross the canal and follow the ‘Mass Path’ into the village of Longwood. We ate our lunches, played some games and had great chats with our friends as we ventured along the Royal Canal observing the plants and animals all around us.
