School Shorts Clarification
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I have been asked to clarify the school's policy regarding the wearing of shorts with the school uniform and school tracksuit.
As you are aware, our school uniform and tracksuit policy does not include the wearing of shorts.
However, I am also aware of many shops and online stores selling tailored grey school shorts.
There is a need for the school uniform policy to be updated by the B.O.M. (in consultation with stake holders i.e. teachers, P.A. representatives etc.) to give clarity on the wearing of shorts during a fine spell of weather. This will be completed at a later date.
In the meantime, please adhere to the following:
Please note: If children who are wearing shorts happen to fall in the playground, cuts and grazes on the knee area are generally of a more serious nature, due to the absence of the 'protection' that is provided by long trousers and tracksuit bottoms.

In the meantime, please adhere to the following:
- On P.E. Tracksuit days, only shortened school tracksuit bottoms are allowed. However, these 'tracksuit shorts' must have a hem. (If cut with a scissors, and not hemmed, tracksuit bottoms tend to become untidy and frayed).
- When wearing the normal school uniform, tailored grey shorts can be worn. If shortening old school trousers, the shorts must have a hem.
